Fasting: A 10 day fast from meats, grains and dairy products. Consume only vegetables, fruits and water. This fast is for direction & revelation for those who care to join me. This is Daniel’s diet as recorded in Daniel 1:3. The biblical definition of the word “fast” is -deliberate & sustained abstinence from food for a specific period of time. It is an act of piety; it is communion in prayer to God during abstinence. Most Fast range in duration from one day to forty days for various purposes. Fasting is usually done for: humbling the soul for God to move in a matter; discipline of one’s character; corporate & personal devotion; and direction & revelation. Fasting in the New Testament was always voluntary. More than cleaving to the “letter of the law” concerning fasting, be more concerned with seeking God through prayer and listening/looking for His response.
